Auto-Graphics Announces Pilot Program to Allow Multi-System Resource Sharing Interoperability
AGent Resource Sharing™ Customers Reduce Costs and Increase Borrowing Fill Rates with Innovative Program

POMONA, CA. —May 18, 2009 -- Auto-Graphics, Inc. (OTCBB: AUGR) (Pink Sheets: AUGR),a technology innovator providing library automation solutions for over 36 years, today announced a pilot program that will facilitate lending and borrowing of material between different statewide or consortial systems using AGent Resource Sharing™, the company's interlibrary loan and direct consortial borrowing system. Linking of these individual statewide and consortial systems will enable an interlibrary loan request that is not filled by a library within its own system to be sent to one or more libraries in other participating AGent Resource Sharing systems. This capability will greatly expand the number of potential lenders to which each AGent Resource Sharing customer has access, resulting in higher borrowing fill rates, decreased reliance on other resource sharing systems and a reduction in costs associated with using other resource sharing systems. Currently, two-thirds of the company's AGent Resource Sharing customers have agreed to participate in this innovative pilot program.

"The users of Auto-Graphics' Resource Sharing system are looking forward to participating in this pilot to improve our resource sharing services and reduce costs. We began to investigate this possibility two years ago and are very happy that this will be happening in the very near future," said Scherelene Schatz, chair of the AGent User Group.

Development of the inter-system resource sharing environment for this pilot program is currently underway. Funds for the pilot program have been committed from Auto-Graphics' development budget and will not require investment or sponsorship of development from the participating libraries. Auto-Graphics' User Group anticipates that the pilot program will begin in Fall 2009.

"This type of creative and innovative initiative is a direct result of feedback and interaction with our very active and engaged AGent Resource Sharing User Group community," commented Paul Cope, president of Auto-Graphics. "In these tough economic times, we are pleased to have the opportunity to fund this use of existing technology that will allow our library customers to work together to both increase services and decrease costs."
