A robust interlibrary loan (ILL) and consortial borrowing solution
AGent Resource Sharing™ enables library consortium members to select the most appropriate resource sharing option while managing all the transactions in one system. AGent Resource Sharing supports and manages mediated ILL transactions, mediated or unmediated patron-initiated ILL transactions, and circulation-based direct consortial borrowing transactions. Libraries can select the option best suited to each individual trading partner.
Libraries with different library automation systems can communicate with one another, regardless of their size or database type. AGent Resource Sharing seamlessly accommodates these disparate systems - creating a level playing field for all consortium members - and can be implemented within any one of three environments, depending on the consortium's needs

AGent Resource Sharing helps libraries significantly reduce the amount of time spent on managing borrowing and lending activities, greatly improving staff workflow and patron satisfaction. The system integrates with the library's existing IT infrastructure and library automation system eliminating the need for extensive staff training and ramp-up time.
When searching for a specific item, the system automatically de-duplicates to ensure results are presented in the most precise manner possible. Libraries may profile their collection to make some material types and formats available for ILL or consortial borrowing, while restricting access to others. Further streamlining request fulfillment, the system can check local circulation status and bypass potential lenders if items are not available for checkout.

Fully compliant with all industry standards-including NCIP, ISO ILL and IPIG profile support-AGent Resource Sharing interoperates with all major resource sharing systems including OCLC WorldCat Resource Sharing, ILLiad, Relais, URSA, VDX and the Library and Archives Canada's ILL system.
