Search: Flexible Choices Ensure Better Results

  • The Search module allows your library’s catalog to be instantly accessible to patrons and staff using a standard Web browser. Simple, yet powerful search options guide users to the most relevant results.
  • Supports federated searching of your local OPAC and unlimited electronic resources via tight integration with AGent Portal.
    • Patrons select available the resources they want to search.
  • Includes standard templates for creating a Google-like splash page to match your library's unique "look and feel."
    • From this page, patrons can initiate a simple, Google-Like Keyword Search or Advanced Search to quickly find what they need, and can also link directly to their account.
  • Includes a variety of search options, such as Keyword (by title, author, or subject), Advanced, Browse, New Title Lists and optional Reading Level and Icon Search.

Circulation: Improve Patron Services

  • The Circulation module allows staff to manage all circulation tasks and patron account activity from a single screen for faster service and improved workflow.
    • Check-in and check-out items, place and fill reserve requests, recover fines/fees and lost items, and transfer items in a quick and efficient manner.
    • Automatically distribute fines/fees and overdue item notices via email.
  • Manage Reserves
    • Place multiple reserve requests at once for the same patron at the same time.
    • Notify patrons by email when items are available for pickup.
    • Place reserves by title or item.
    • Allow mediated or unmediated patron-initiated title level reserves.
    • Notify patrons by email if a reserve has been denied (mediated reserves only).

  • The Reports module provides staff with an organized system to create, store, retrieve, and analyze detailed patron, item, and fines/fees reports on demand.
  • Easy import into Microsoft Excel provides greater flexibility for result manipulation and analysis.
  • Automatic Generation – Reports can be set to automatically run at scheduled times, whether just once or multiple times, during and outside of normal business hours.
    • Run reoccurring reports by day, week, month, and time.
