The Content Management System (CMS) uses Extensible Mark-up Language (XML) as its basic data structure. While many regard XML as "the new standard", Auto-Graphics is a pioneer in this area, with a groundbreaking 12 years of experience with SGML (Standard Generalized Mark-up Language), the foundation of HTML, and now XML.
The advantage of XML over other more common approaches is that you can easily catalog anything with it - not just books. For example, a museum could catalog a series of seemingly unrelated objects in a collection. Here are some examples of how some of our customers use the CMS system:
