Chaffey wanted to replace its outdated ILS system with a full-featured and maintenance free system that included the necessary functionality to perform daily cataloging and serials activity, at an affordable price.
Solution:
AGent VERSO™ provided Chaffey with a complete system for several thousand dollars less per year than the cost of an annual service contract on its legacy system. The library now saves the added cost and trouble of having to use two separate vendors to get the cataloging and serials functionality that AGent VERSO provides. Auto-Graphics’ ASP hosted service includes full system support, backups, and maintenance.
Results:
AGent VERSO’s Web-based architecture for all modules has enabled library staff to significantly streamline their workflow and spend more time helping patrons. As subscription-based publications are received and checked-in, changes are instantly reflected in the Cataloging module and OPAC. Auto-Graphics’ ASP hosted service ensures that Chaffey will always be using the latest version of AGent VERSO without having to spend the extra cost of employing staff or time required to run its own system.
